I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
